Montana Cycling Project

We host bike events on gravel, road and trail with an amazing team!  Sometimes we shuttle people too.  Our Montana Tour crew is going into its 10th year producing events together.  We love partnering with different communities and organizations to give back and host the best bicycle events we can.  What's important?

We strive to host bike events that include more than just the advanced rider.  Have an e-bike and new?  Try our 22 mile gravel or a lap on our 24 Hours of Elk Basin route.  We also allow e-bikes on the Montana Tour.

We're also excited to launch our new nonprofit group, montanatour.org Montana Tour and Big Sky Gravel will help build and support our mission: Providing support for non-motorized tourism in Montana communities.

  • The BEST

A no-frills event company getting down to business putting on great events. Our motto is: ‘Low key, high elevation’ and we mean it. Our race atmosphere is always approachable and laid back. The courses, on the other hand, always pose a challenge with an epic view in the heart of the Beartooth's. Our races prioritize the following:

  • The BEST snacks and AMAZING beer. We don't want to brag too much but our post race offerings are legendary.
  • Affordable -we believe the last thing keeping you from a starting line should be the price tag.
  • Welcoming all abilities -from first time racers to those looking for the course record. Have other needs? Let us accommodate!
  • Building community -whether we’re recognizing young runners for big accomplishments, going on group runs, lending a hand on trail building days, and supporting the local economies that we race in, we want to build a strong community of people who love getting out there.
